Green List Residence Pathway
Green List Visa NZ
If a role is on the Green List, employers can complete job checks without needing proof of advertising, providing the minimum requirements for the role at least match the minimum requirements on the Green List immigration NZ.
The Green List New Zealand occupations also provide direct to residence and work to residence pathways.
All qualifications listed as requirements are based on the New Zealand Qualifications Framework (NZQF) unless stated otherwise.
Straight to Residence Pathway
If you are eligible and work in any of these tier 1 jobs you can come to New Zealand on a work visa from 4 July 2022 and apply for residence from 5 September 2022. You can also apply from outside of New Zealand.
Minimum salary requirements will apply for some jobs and will change with the median wage each year.
Examples of suitable industries include:
Construction, Engineering, Health & Social Services, Primary Industries & Science, ICT, Electronics & Telecommunications.

Eligible for Work to Residence
If you are working in any of these occupations, and are eligible, you can apply for residence after 2 years of working in NZ.
