We understand that arriving in a new country can be both exciting and challenging. As you navigate this unfamiliar environment, it’s normal to feel a mix of emotions. Whether you’re adjusting to the culture, making new friends, or focusing on your studies, remember that you’re not alone. Here are tips for International Student recently arrived in the country:

Tip 1:

Take courage in making friends and initiating a study group. Just like you, all other international students are most likely in their first time living away from their families and putting themselves in the new environment. The early days of school are the best time to get to know as many friends as possible.

Tip 2:

Take full responsibility for your study. If you feel like you are having a hard time understanding the course, look out for help from your classmates or even from the professors. The professors will most likely appreciate your proactiveness and they will be willing to help you to ace your study. On top of that, you have the chance to build a good relationship with your professor for future reference. Who knows you will need a reference for work or if they have an opportunity for you during your study.
