New Zealand offers migrants various opportunities to seek residency in New Zealand through their chosen career path.
One of the latest pathways is known as the work to residence pathway and it allows people in certain occupations and sectors to apply for residency if they meet the criteria and work experience requirements of their chosen occupation.

Work to Residency in New Zealand
The New Zealand Government has created a number of residency pathways to make it easier for more types of workers to gain residency in New Zealand via their occupation and experience.
There are three work to residence pathways, and these are:
Care Workforce Work to Residence Visa
Care workers with at least 24 months of work experience in an eligible care work role may be eligible to apply for the Care Workforce Work to Residence Visa pathway.
In addition to work experience and relevant qualifications, applicants for this type of residency pathway must also have secured a role or a job offer from an Accredited Employer in New Zealand too.

Transport Work to Residence Visa
Skilled transport workers in certain occupations within the transport sector may be eligible to apply for residency under the Transport Work to Residence Visa Pathway in New Zealand.
Applicants may have to meet role specific criteria, as well as have at least 24 months of experience in working in an eligible role in New Zealand to be eligible for this type of residency pathway.
It is also a requirement that the applicant must have a role with or a job offer from an Accredited Employer in New Zealand.

Highly Paid Residence Visa
Migrants who earn at least twice the New Zealand median wage are being recognised for both their skills and financial contributions to New Zealand and are now eligible for the Highly Paid Residence Visa pathway through Skilled Migrant Category Visa.
Applicants must not only earn at least twice the New Zealand median wage, but they must also have been working and receiving this wage for at least 24 months in New Zealand.
Additional criteria, including having a job offer or already working in a job from an Accredited Employer must be met before applying for this type of residency visa.
