Tantalising Treehouse Escape

Tantalising Treehouse Escape

Who would have thought you could take your whanau and friends on a treehouse escape? Plus, an affordable one at that.

The country’s newest treehouse opened in October this year and at $150 per night and sleeping twelve, it’s sure to be a holiday hit.

So where is this delightful, unique getaway? It’s in Pukeiti, and it is one of Taranaki’s amazing gems nestled in the expansive 360-hectare rainforest, adjacent to Egmont National Park. It’s only thirty minutes’ drive out of New Plymouth. With Air NZ’s cheap flights you could treat yourself, or make this a roadie.

It’s an easy one hour walk in, and so worth it. You’ll enjoy being above it all with 360 degree panoramas, including of Mount Taranaki. If you want to get close to nature, well really close, then this is it.
